Scenario: I have separate but similar accounts set up in my charts of accounts, how can I group the accounts together to get a subtotal of each group in my financial report?
Answer: You can customize how your the accounts and amount be shown in your financial report in TreezSoft. We have a series of automation and integration system to ensure optimum accounting experience for our users. Using these systems, you can be sure that your all your data is accurate at all time. Therefore, you can easily group your accounts in financial reports anytime and have full confident that your records are accurate.
To customize your accounts grouping in financial reports, simply navigate through General Ledger > Financial Reports > Custom Reports.
You will be brought to the screen below:
Then, click on New Profit and Loss Report (or the type of report that you would like to customize)
Enter the title and description for the customized financial report and click on Save to confirm the entry.
Then, go to the group that you want to add sub-group under it. For example, you would like to add a group under Income (as shown in the screenshot). Under income, click on Create Group and enter the title that you would want the sub-group to have (e.g. General fund, Library fund, etc). Then, arrange the list of accounts into the sub-group that you would like them to be by click, hold and drag them to the targeted place. Click on Save, or save and preview to get a pdf version of the report.
The Pdf version of the customized report will be like the screenshot below.
Note that the sub-total of each sub-group will appear accordingly (as shown with the red arrows).
