Credit Card Charges
TreezSoft cloud accounting software provides a POS system, known as QPOS to provide client with easy integration with their account in TreezSoft to record their daily sales at cashier counter. Among many types of payment provided, one of the option is credit card payment. Some credit card merchant bank may charge a small amount of transaction fees for credit card transactions which will be shown after the transaction is made. Once day-end closing is posted in your POS system, no modification can be done. Therefore, to record these charges to your accounting system, you will need to update in manually by using Journal Entry in TreezSoft.
After you've posted day-end closing in QPOS, you may view your Sales Report in TreezSoft accounting system by navigate through General Ledger > POS Posted Sales Report.
Below screen shows the POS Posted Sales Report:
You may find your business day-end report by:
- Selecting the Date of the report you want to generate.
- Click "Retrieve".
- Click on the Journal Number to see the full report.
Record Credit Card Charges
To record credit card charges after posting day-end closing in QPOS, all you have to do is to raise a Journal Entry by month end to transfer the amount from clearing cash account into Credit Card charges expenses account.
To raise a new Journal Entry, go to General Ledger > Journal Entry > New Journal Entry
Next, follow the steps below to raise the Journal Entry.
- Select the Date for the Journal Entry.
- Select the Currency used.
- Enter the Description for Journal Entry.
- Record the entry for clearing cash account and credit card expenses account respectively.
- Click "Save" to record the transaction.
