Serial number is unique number used to identify the series that a product is in and to get additional information about it. This is especially useful for company to find compatible parts for that particular product. Not all types of product uses serial number, it is mainly used on electrical appliances (e.g. computers, mobile phones, washing machines, etc) and cars,
Serial numbers in TreezSoft
TreezSoft cloud accounting software automation and integration to enhance our user experience. All records will be integrated automatically to users' accounts. We have serial number feature allowing you to enter your stock item's serial number. With our system, you can easily create and keep track of your item's serial number. You're just a few clicks away to everything you need in TreezSoft.
To allow serial number for your targeted stock item, navigate through: Stock > Manage > Stock Item.
Click into the hyperlink code of the targeted item or create a new stock item for your new stock.
When in the specific stock item screen, tick on the box beside "Contain Serial No" and click Save to save changes.
Then, when you purchase the stock, you will be required to key in the serial number for that particular stock whenever its selected, as shown in the screen below.
When you click on the serial number column, a pop-up screen will appear as shown as below.
1. Enter the details for the serial number.
2. Click on Generate to let TreezSoft generate list the subsequent serial number automatically.
3. You can view those serial numbers that you've created at this column.
4. You can also click on Import your own serial numbers to TreezSoft
5. Click OK to confirm the records.
After creating and entering the serial numbers for your stock item, you can also easily keep track of your serial numbers status by navigate through: Stock > Serial Number Inquiry. Select the serial number criteria that you want to inquire, click on Retrieve to search for the list.
Print to PDF - Print the report out.
