Stock batch represents a number of stocks that were received on a specific date, at a specific cost. It may also include other details like the types of materials used to manufacture the item, the colour that was used to paint an item, or the expiry dates of the products.
Stock batch provides a basis of stock cost valuation. When registered in TreezSoft, users can easily track and edit the specific stock batch whenever needed.
You can easily set up stock batches in TreezSoft in just a few steps listed below:
Step 1: Create stock items. You can refer to our blog post for a detailed guide to creating a stock item.

Step 2: Enter the stock batch accordingly to details received from a supplier. Navigate to Stock > Manage > Stock Batch.

1. Click New to enter a new stock batch.
2. Enter the stock batch details accordingly.
3. Click Save to save the information entered.
Step 3: Select the stock batch when raising related stock transactions. For example, when raising supplier invoices, select the respective stock batch required as shown below.

As such, you can accurately keep track of your stock items accurately.
